1. Where are these quick‑acting weathertight doors installed on ships?
They are mounted above the freeboard deck, including wheelhouse entrances, crew accommodation doors, deck storage lockers, engine room casing access and forecastle/aft deck passages. They are only used for wind, rain and sea splash prevention, not for water pressure bearing.

3. What is the difference between weathertight door and watertight door?
A weathertight door only blocks rain, wind and wave splashes without bearing hydrostatic pressure, applied on upper exposed decks. A watertight door can withstand specified water pressure, generally used below the waterline or engine room bulkheads.
4. Can one person open and close the door easily?
Yes. Designed with a quick-lock dog fastening structure, single-person operation is realized to greatly improve daily access efficiency.
5. Does the aluminium door resist marine salt fog corrosion well?
Absolutely. The surface is treated with anodizing, which passes long-time salt spray test and adapts to high humidity and high salt offshore environments.
6. Can I customize the door size and opening direction?
Custom dimensions, left/right opening directions are all supported according to your ship layout requirements.
7. Can you provide classification society certificates?
We can apply for CCS, DNV, BV, LR, ABS and other mainstream ship classification certificates upon formal orders.
8. Is this door suitable for large cargo vessels?
